Ph.D., University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA
Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Transportation Systems. The contributions of my dissertation are threefold: (1) it provided the first comprehensive performance analysis of the US state-of-the-art travel time reliability (TTR) methodology (in the current and 6th edition of the Highway Capacity Manual), (2) it developed a methodology for calibrating TTR methodologies, including that used in the HCM6, and (3) it developed a new TTR methodology that addresses the limitations of the HCM6 TTR methodology. These, I believe are needed for accurate traveler information to save time, money, and the environment.
Sept 2013Â - Nov 2014
MSc (Engineering), University of Leeds, UK
Master of Science in Engineering with emphasis on Transport Planning. The contributions of my thesis were twofold: (1) to determine the optimum axle load limit on the trans-sahara highway corridor (from Ivory Coast through Ghana to Lagos), and (2) facilitate trade between these countries.
Sept 2000Â - June 2004
BSc (Civil Engineering), KNUST, Ghana
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Worked on soil permeability and construction suitability in my thesis.
